The Lion and the Mouse

An African folkloric fantasy reimagining of the classic fable, The Lion and the Mouse (but the mouse is really a tiny Black-Footed Cat). This project follows the unlikely bond between two very different characters, where trust and strength are found in the most unexpected of allies.

"Humans need fantasy to be human. To be the place where the falling angel meets the rising ape."

The Girl and the Sword
Spiderverse

My first true pitch project and storyboard journey, this tale follows a young warrior as she confronts her deepest fears, embraces her destiny, and seeks vengeance against a formidable Goddess of the underworld.

Film Study:

INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE

This was a really fun exercise in so many things! I studied the "LEAP OF FAITH" scene from Sony's "INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE" to get a better handle on perspective, camera, story flow, character posing and so much more. It's not all copied! The ending is my version of how the scene could have ended - right where Gwen swoops in.

Never Alice

As a way to teach myself better storytelling I decided to make a short comic about a twisted version of Alice in Wonderland - where Alice herself is the darkness brought upon Underland.

Wendy wants to meet the Mermaids!

This was a fun exercise in trying to tell a story in 5 panels! I decided to have Wendy want to see the gorgeous mermaids - only to learn that they're not quite as pretty as she'd hoped.
